Biosketch
Dr. Sallengs is manager of the Drug Enforcement and Professional
Practices Branch within the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. Dr. Sallengs spent 12 years as an independent pharmacist before gaining in-depth experiences in the wholesale drug and pharmacy computer industries. Mr. Sallengs joined the Drug Enforcement
and Professional Practices Branch in 1999, becoming manager in 2003. In this role he is responsible for operation of the Kentucky Prescription Drug Monitoring Program, KASPER, as well as for enforcement of the Kentucky Controlled Substances Act. In addition to being a registered pharmacist, Dr. Sallengs is also a sworn law enforcement officer.
