Biosketch
Dr. Gurbel is Director of Cardiovascular Research at the Center for Thrombosis Research at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. Dr. Gurbel has authored over 100 peer-reviewed papers related primarily to coronary thrombosis and interventional cardiology. His particular expertise is in translational platelet physiology research. As a practicing interventionalist in a large private practice, he also is Director of Therapeutics, Research and Technology Development for the Cardiac Catheterization Program at Sinai Hospital.
